My name is Jairo (pronounced “Hi Ro”) Andres Jaramillo Bernal, and I am an international student. I moved here from Colombia about four years ago, and I am a seminarian of the Diocese of Paterson. I have two sisters, Karen and Johanna, and one brother Alfonso. Also, I have two uncles in this diocese who are priests. While I am here, I hope to learn to speak English more confidently. I am excited to get to know you better over my six weeks at Corpus Christi Parish.
My hobbies are going to the movies and spending time with my family and friends. I love dancing and playing soccer. My favorite international soccer team is the Juventus in Italy. Thank you, family of Corpus Christi, for accepting me into your parish, and it’s a privilege to be assigned here for my summer assignment.
