What Is Engaged Encounter?
Engaged Encounter is an investment in your future - a weekend in which an atmosphere is created for the two of you to concentrate exclusively on each other, free of the tensions, pressures, and interruptions of daily living.
It focuses on communication in your relationship.
You will be encouraged to be open in communicating with each other about issues we face each day.
You'll explore your mutual strengths and weaknesses as you listen to presentations and work through exercises as a couple.
Topics cover a variety of marriage experiences such as romance; disagreement; expectations and attitudes concerning careers, family life and children; money and sex; the church and society.
The primary emphasis is on your communication as a couple, though some opportunity is provided for interaction among other couples.
A team of two married couples and a priest facilitates and guides the weekend.
Their presentations include personal sharing of their marriages and family issues, and encourage you to become involved in your own period of discovery.
