With all that is happening around us, some wonder if joy is possible. It is! The joy of a God who loves us more than we can ever understand or imagine wants to comfort and be with us. During this time of Advent, I invite each of you to open your heart to this great love, as together we wait in peace and trust for this light to come!
- Fr. Kevin

Health, Happiness, and Blessings to all this season! Peace!

Advent is the start of the church year - the liturgical calendar gives us a generous head start on those fresh starts, resolutions, and renewals well before January 1. I invite you to join me in taking a few moments of peaceful, prayerful meditation throughout advent - I find that a cup of tea and a few candles helps the whole process!
- Liz Nowik
Have a blessed and safe Advent!

The People of God waited for generations for Emmanuel, which means "God with us."
We are now God's presence in the world - literally, the Body of Christ.
Bring the joyful presence of Christ into your home this Christmas season.
Since we will not hear live concerts or sing in church,
Do your best to bring holiday music into your home.
Sing and make music to the Lord! (Psalm 27)

In the book of Isaiah, we find the words "The people walking in darkness have seen a great light" Isaiah 9:2. Advent is a time to prepare for the next stage, the coming of Christ. Isaiah foretells of a greatness that comes to dispel hardship and division. Our Lord does not disappoint in his fulfillment of these promises, neither in his physical coming to the earth in His birth, nor today in a longed-for light of relief that is so needed. Light is coming, and Christ is a reminder of that, a sign of God's never-ending and omnipresent love. This light is a beacon for us, and brighter days are ahead, our faith assures of this hope. Be open to the light. Let the light of Christ begin to burn in your heart, welcome the warmth of that light into your home, and carry that light to others that you encounter this Advent season, because we all need a little light more than ever these days.

Open your eyes and REJOICE…
Make a chart of the dates or use a calendar with the dates from the beginning of Advent, November 29th to the feast of the Epiphany of the Lord January 3rd.
Each day open your eyes to discover a miracle God gives to you. It may come from a person, event, nature etc. In the evening stop and write on the date the “miracle of the day” and thank God for it.

Dear Corpus Christi Parishioners,
This has been a tough and challenging year for all of us. Let’s take a quiet moment to thank Our Lord for the many Blessings He has given us this year and for the Peace only He can offer our troubled hearts. Let’s celebrate, as always, the Birth of Jesus Christ and God’s desire to connect with humanity in such a personal way.
- Brian Duemling
I am wishing you all a joy-filled Advent season! I hope this is a time full of love and peace for you and your loved ones. I am praying for you all as we prepare to celebrate our Lord's Nativity!
